Dr Mohamed Sahbi Basly has a Doctorate in Medicine, and is specialised in public health and the environment, having completed postgraduate studies in occupational health and safety in Canada and at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He was a lecturer of medicine in Tunis and at the National Institute of Labour and Social Studies. He has been the Ambassador for Tunisia to India, Spain and most recently China and he is fluent in Arabic, French and English. Currently, Dr Sahbi Basly is engaged in the democratisation process of Tunisia and has founded the party Al-Mustakbal (The Future).
